Rupert Pack and his family have been the keepers of the great Aztec treasure, Montezuma's Golden Jewel Boards, for centuries. His calm life as curator of his small family museum came abruptly to an end one day when police rushed the museum and took away the Jewel Boards. A one time family friend, Sebastian Grenard, has convinced a judge that the Jewel Boards belonged to his distant ancestor Cortez, and that he is now the rightful owner. Rupert knows that the museum will not survive without Montezuma's treasured game as their main attraction. The only way he can get the Jewel Boards back is to prove Cortez a thief.
