Free Chess for Mac
MacChess will play against you, analyze positions for you, and make diagrams for Web pages and newsletters. It has more features than many commercial Macintosh chess playing programs, including high-end features like PGN/EPD support, batch position analysis and "next best move".

- New large board option, with large-size "Classic" and "American" (shown) sets
- "Learning Chess" file added
- Reworked chess engine finds forced mates faster, is more compact
- Expanded opening book - nearly 12,000 new positions added
- Improved endgame knowledge - nearly doubled its score on one endgame test
- Many new levels: sudden death, increment, distinct black/white times
- Added quick level setting options to Level menu
- Setup window now movable, eases copying diagrams from the Web
