Trouble in Paradise

Ah, the tropics. Warm, sunny weather all year round, relaxing beaches, pina coladas and hurricanes. Wait, what? Oh, right, those. One’s just devastated the islands now, and they don’t look much like paradise anymore.

Luckily, the destruction is nothing that can’t be fixed, and relief is already on its way. Only one question remains: are you up to it?

Obstructions in Your Path

The old saying “nothing worth having is easy” aptly applies for your mission. You’ll quickly see what a number the hurricane has done to the island.

And before your team can actually get around to rescuing anyone, you need to deal with the various obstacles that get in your way. Such impediments include piles of wooden debris, rocks, broken bridges, collapsed roads, and even boulders.

• Use different resources and methods to eliminate various obstacles. Gather wooden debris as lumber, or blow a rock sky high with dynamite!
• Carve your own path to victory. Choose which roads you wish to repair to traverse. Clear as many or as few pathways as you like!

Use What You Got

Your titular Rescue Team is ready and able to accept your instructions. With the single click of a button, they’ll promptly rush over to the appointed task and get it done. You've only got a limited number of workers, however, so use them wisely, treat them well, and keep them fed. Your workers will gladly:

• Repair buildings like houses, cafes and sawmills.
• Remove obstructions.
• Collect resources like gold, wood, food and power-ups.
• Tackle large scale projects, including repairing a three-story museum one floor at a time!

Use What You Find

You got plenty of resources in your pocket, but unfortunately, it’s not always enough to get the job done. Fortunately, there are plenty of useful things to find in each level that may just give you the extra push you need to complete your tasks, provided you’re willing to take the time to get them.

• Collect caches of lumber, money and food that you come across.
• Earn an income of select goods by repairing specific buildings.
• Bring extra workers into your fold by rescuing them.
• Build a helipad to call in air support.
• Make your life easier by grabbing power-ups. Increase your cash flow, or speed up your workers.

Making the Grade

Do note that your performance is being monitored. After completing a mission, you’ll receive a grade based on how fast you completed it. Higher grades grant more bonus points, and higher bonus points get you a fully renovated house much quicker.

Work fast, work efficiently, and aim for as high a score as you can!
